Duties and Responsibilities
II. Functions / Key Results Expected

* To operationalize the activities outlined in the preparedness plan.
* To provide support to the Operations Management Team during escalation of pandemic phases.
* To liaise with external stakeholders, such as UN approved physicians and hospitals, regarding the UN system preparedness plan.
* To liaise with the government's Avian Influenza Taskforce and Ministry of Health on pandemic preparedness issues impacting on the UN.
* To partake in other activities relating to the UN's preparedness for an influenza pandemic
* To revise the current UN system's pandemic preparedness plan in Indonesia.
* To interpret and assess the impact of national policy on pandemic, outbreak containment and response for the UN in Indonesia.

III. Impact of Results

The key results have an impact on the overall UN agencies in Indonesia's AI preparedness plan and response action in order to: protect their staff, continual of their operations as well as to support national efforts during a pandemic.

IV. Competencies

* Knowledge of health care system in Indonesia; including health care facilities in Jakarta.

Ability to write reports and plans in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
*

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Awareness of UN systems and administrative procedures.

V. Recruitment Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in nursing or medical education.

Experience:





* Minimum 6 years of experience with Bachelors degree ?or 7 years of experience?with Diploma in establishing public health programs in occupational setting.
* Proven experience in coordination of logistics and mobilization of human resources (volunteer management experience an asset).

Language Requirements:

Fluency in written and spoken English and Indonesian.
