BACKGROUND TO THE POSITION
The LEAD Project aims to increase access to justice across Indonesia through support to legal services, legal capacity development, legal and human rights awareness and related development activities for the poor and other disadvantaged groups.

Key steps in accomplishing these objectives include:

* Establishing a grant-making facility that is primarily focused on CSO empowerment;
* Providing civil society support and capacity development;
* Ensuring legal and human rights empowerment at the grassroots level;
* Fostering a human rights-based approach among civil society activity development and implementation; and
* Constructively engaging State authorities.

Required Skills and Experience
Recruitment Qualifications

Education:
Masters degree in Law, Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field.

Experience:

Essential

* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working on social development and/or justice-related issues
* Knowledge and experience in working on improving access to justice and pro-poor justice sector reform
* Understanding of current political and economic policies in Indonesia
* Excellent communication skills and proven ability at networking with government, civil society and donor agencies
* Strong experience in the usage of computers and office software packages

Desirable:

* Experience in working with Indonesian government institutions
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working on developing blueprints or grand strategy in legal or judiciary reform is an advantage


Language Requirements:

Strong written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English
